The Hardrock Trilogy
This trilogy follows Chris Chapik through various adventures as he meets and deals with a range of characters in the American west over two decades. This often humorous trio of novels uses hardrock geology as their backdrop, beginning with academic geological research along the high cliffs of the Aquarius Plateau in Utah in the early 70s, through exploration geology during the 1980s gold rush in Nevada and California, and ending with mining geology among the copper fields of southern Arizona in the early 90s.
