 Overview
Catalina State Park covers foothills and canyon land adjacent to the Santa Catalina Mountains north of Tucson. The high crags of the Santa Catalina range overshadow the Park.
Area: 5,500 acres
Elevation: 2,650 to 3,000 feet
Fees: Entrance and camping fees apply. Call the park for current fee information.
Hours: Open 365 days a year. Day-use hours are 5:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Visitor Center hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Facilities: There is a small gift shop, picnic area with 73 sites, restrooms, picnic tables, grills, an equestrian center (available for offloading or camping with horses), group areas (minimum 20 people) for day use or camping (by reservation).
Directions:

The park is located on State Highway 77 (Oracle Road) at mile marker 81, just 9 miles north of Tucson and 6 miles north of Ina Road. Get directions from MapQuest.

Weather:

Because of the summer heat, the principal use of the park is in the spring, autumn, and winter, although it is open all year.
