 Overview

The Elden Pueblo is the largest site in the Mount Elden area. Its 65 rooms were home to perhaps 200 to 300 Sinagua culture people between 1150 and 1275 A.D. Some of the site has been restored, while other parts of the site are in the process of being excavated.

Take Highway 89 north from Flagstaff just a short distance. Watch for the small sign on the west side of the road. Get directions from MapQuest.

There is no camping allowed at the site. However, there is a US Forest Service campground near the entrance to Sunset Crater National Monument and others in and around Flagstaff, Arizona.

There is no hiking within the site, however, there is an easy self-guided pathway around the ruins. Guides are available near the parking area.
