Madera Canyon is a cool retreat from the surrounding desert, boasting big trees, a creek, and beautiful views of the Santa Rita Mountains. It is a popular destination for wildlife watchers and nature lovers who come to see the more than 240 species of birds that live here.

Directions:

Madera Canyon is approximately 43 miles south of Tucson in the Santa Rita Mountains. From Tucson, take I-19 south approximately 30 miles to the Continental Road exit. Turn east under the highway and follow the signs 13 miles to Madera Canyon. Get directions from MapQuest.
