A butterfly in Ramsey Canyon Preserve. This page contains personal notes on our visits to the Ramsey Canyon Preserve, near Sierra Vista, Arizona.
 Personal Notes

We've only been to Ramsey Canyon a couple of times, and that was back in the 70s and 80s, but I do know that we have enjoyed our visits. There is lush vegetation, a flowing stream, and many birds. We especially enjoyed the variety of humming birds flitting about the many feeders that have been placed near the Inn to attract the little critters.

There always seems to be a parking problem there, and I know it is limited to something like 25 vehicles at any one time. There is at least one trail through the Preserve, and if my memory is correct, most of the trail is shaded by the tall deciduous trees. It's an interesting escape from the surrounding Sonoran desert.
