A pool in the Seven Falls area, Sabino Canyon Recreation Area. This page presents information on hiking within the Sabino Canyon Recreation Area in Arizona.
 Hiking

You may choose to walk along the paved roads or hike the system of trails that lead deep into the canyons and high country. The paved road is closed to bicycles on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Bicycles are allowed on other days before 9:00 a.m. and after 5:00 p.m. Some trails are open to horseback riders.

Bear Canyon / Seven Falls Trail
Distance: 6.5 miles round trip Rating: Easy to Moderate
Elevation: 2,778 to 4,842 feet. Total Ascent: 2,064 feet.
Trailhead: Sabino Canyon parking area (32 18.614N; 110 49.426W)..
Description: This trail passes Seven Falls (32 20.511N; 110 45.861; 4,018 feet) and joins the East Fork Sabino Canyon and the Sycamore Canyon Trails at 32 21.151N; 110 45.574W.
Sabino Canyon Trail
Distance: ~2.25 miles one way. Rating: Moderate
Elevation: 3,321 to 3,758 feet. Total Ascent: 1,521 feet.
Trailhead: The end of the up Sabino Canyon, in a turn-around (32 20.643N; 110 46.859W).
Description: Starts out with a steep climb, then levels off until its junction with the East Fork Sabino Canyon Trail at 32 22.010N; 110 46.407W.
Phone Line Trail
Distance: 8.5 miles round trip Rating: Easy to Moderate
Elevation: 2,798 to 3,321 feet. Total Ascent: 533 feet
Trailhead: Along the paved road up Sabino Canyon, at 32 19.321N; 110 48.704W or off of the picnic area loop at 32 18.690N; 110 48.659W.
Description: This trail follows the slope south of Sabino Creek and provides spectacular views of the canyon. The end of the trail is its junction with the Sabino Canyon Trail at 32 20.643N; 110 46.859W.
