Titan Missile Museum, near Sahuarita, Arizona.

This page contains personal notes on our visits to the Titan Missile National Historic Landmark and Museum near Sahuarita, Arizona.

 Personal Notes

We've visited the Titan Missile National Historic Landmark and Museum on a couple of occasions. It's a nice drive south of Tucson, with views of the surrounding mines and mountains close at hand. It might be a hot drive during the Sonoran Desert summer, but in the autumn, winter, and spring the weather might be perfect.

There are several types of tours available, but they are well worth the cost, and the site is worth visiting at least once to get an up-close, personal view of a piece of our history from the Cold War Era. The tours take you down into the silo and the crew living quarters, and the guides explain everything you'd want to know about the operation of the site.

It makes a nice side trip to visits to the better known sites in this area.
