Island Trail
Distance: .9 mile loop Rating: Strenuous
Elevation: 6,800 feet Total Ascent: 185 feet.
Trailhead: At the Visitor Center (35 10.288N; 111 30.563W).
Description: This trail descends 240 steps; passes 25 cliff dwelling rooms and different plant life zones. There are sheer drops and a 240 step climb back to the canyon rim.
Rim Trail
Distance: .7 mile loop Rating: Easy
Elevation: 6,800 feet Total Ascent: N/A
Trailhead: Near the Visitor Center (~35 10.321N; 111 30.534W).
Description: Overlooks the canyon and passes the ruins of rim top structures.
