 Hiking

You can hike west on the King Creek Trail or north and south on the John Muir and Pacific Crest Trails. For wilderness permits contact Inyo National Forest at 760-873-2500.

Devils Postpile

Trailhead: At the Ranger Station.
Description: A short walk to the base of the unique geologic formation. A short loop trail at the Postpile leads you to the tops of these vertical columns for a birds-eye view.
Rainbow Falls
Distance: 2.5 miles one-way Rating: Easy
Elevation:   Total Ascent:  
Trailhead: At the Ranger Station.
Description: The trail passes through a burned forest to a 101-foot waterfall. From the Rainbow Falls Trailhead to Rainbow Falls is 1.3 miles.
