Camping is limited to established campgrounds. Staying overnight at overlooks and parking lots is not permitted. Other campgrounds are located near the park.

Backcountry Camping

A free backcountry permit is required and may be obtained at the Visitor Center or at the entrance stations. Water is not available in the monument backcountry, even during spring runoff due to a high Selenium content. Wood fires are not permitted anywhere in the monument.
