Paleontology Sites
This page presents basic information on the paleontology of canyon country, and links to our featured sites that include paleontological landmarks.
There are many locations throughout canyon country where one can view paleontological exhibits and find fossil remains out along the trails (where, of course, they must remain untouched). Many of these locations are world-class discoveries which have impacted the disciplines of historical geology and biology and greatly increased our understanding of our own origins. This page offers links to our featured sites where fossil remains have been found and are interpreted.
