Malad Gorge is spectacular. For 2.5 miles the Malad River flows past 400 foot high walls. This park offers hiking, picnicking, and spectacular views that include the Devil's Washbowl and falls, Woody's Cove, and Malad Gorge and river.
Established in 1975, and developed as one of Idaho's Bicentennial Projects, the Malad Gorge Unit of Thousand Springs State Park was opened to the public in 1979. This natural park was set aside for its unique geologic, natural, and historic features. |

Facilities in this year-round park include a 3.5 mile scenic loop road, modern restrooms, a shaded picnic area, and shelter, interpretive displays, and several scenic overlooks and paved walks. There are no campsites. |
