Ward cemetery, Nevada. This page contains our personal notes on the ghost town of Ward, Nevada.
 Personal Notes

I've only been to the Ward cemetery once, in the early 1980s, and didn't quite make it up to the town site. The cemetery is exposed along an open slope, with Ward Mountain as a backdrop. It sits among the typical pinyon-juniper forest so common in the Great Basin.

There are several interesting grave stones, some open, some fenced in.

Ward Charcoal Oven State Historic Park is just a couple of miles farther to the south.

At the time I visited the road was dirt and gravel and fairly passable, at least to the cemetery. It is probably not worth a visit unless you are into old cemeteries and ghost towns. Then it is a definite side trip you'll want to take.
