We stopped in Bluff at the Joseph Barton Cabin (1880-1894), which is part of the Bluff Fort Historic Site. It is located at GPS Coordinates (NAD83): 37 17.014N; 109 33.230W; at an elevation of 4,310 feet.

We spent about half and hour looking around the site. There are several log cabins and a couple of stone buildings and a meeting house and lots of wagons. It’s worth a few minutes to poke around in pioneer history. These are the people who made the famous Hole in the Rock trek back in the late 1880s.
