Personal Notes:
First Dutchmen Trip

This page presents our personal notes on our 1993 visit to Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah.

August 1 through 8, 1993

In July of 1993, when we lived in Tucson, Arizona, we purchased a new Dutchmen 20 foot travel trailer and pulled it with our new 1993 Isuzu Trooper. Our first trip with the trailer was to Bryce Canyon National Park, where we spent a week hiking a good number of the trails in the park.

We parked the trailer in the Ruby Inn RV Park in site 64. The spot they gave us was almost perfectly level, and it was a pull-through, which was perfect for a first timer. The first thing we noticed, though, about RV campgrounds, was that they are packed tight, one trailer site on top of the other. There wasn't much room for privacy. Fortunately, our intent was not to sit in camp, but to get out and hike and view the sights.
