Butler Wash Archaeological District
Butler Wash Archaeological District
In Southern Utah
The Butler Wash Archaeological District comprises the entire length of Butler Wash, from its head west of Blanding, Utah, to its confluence with the San Juan River, west of Bluff, Utah. There are many fine cliff dwellings, as well as rock art sites scattered among the cliff faces on both sides of the wash. This is wild country, so go prepared. And take care to preserve the historic value of the area. Leave only boot prints, and take only photos. Contact us for specific directions and GPS Coordinates for many of these sites.
