Backcountry Camping
Primitive campsites are located along four-wheel-drive roads and in other remote areas; they do not have water. Backcountry permits and fees are required for primitive camping.
- Backpackers should camp well out of sight of roads.
- Vehicle campers must use only designated campsites.
- Firewood cannot be collected in the Park, so use stoves.
- Vehicle campers who wish to have campfires must bring fuel with them and may only build fires in fireplaces.
