Dead Horse Point is an island mesa towering 2,000 feet above the Colorado River. It once provided a natural corral for cowboys rounding up wild horses. Perhaps Utah's most spectacular state park, Dead Horse Point provides a breathtaking panorama of Canyonlands National Park's sculptured pinnacles and buttes, as well as far silhouettes of the La Sal, Abajo, and Henry Mountains.
