 Overview

The Fisher Towers are one of the most outstanding scenic features of Utah's Colorado Riverway. These rock pinnacles soar above the maze of red and purple-hued canyons. Visitors will be rewarded with a sweeping view of the towers, Castle Rock, the cliff-enclosed Richardson Amphitheater, and the Colorado River.

The Bureau of Land Management administers the Fisher Towers Recreation Site, which includes a small campground and a trailhead, located at the base of the towers.

Fisher Towers Trail
Distance: 2.2 miles one way Rating: Easy to Moderate
Elevation: 5,300 feet (highest point) Total Ascent: 670 feet
Trailhead:
Description: The constructed trail passes to a ridge at trail's end. Along the way you'll get close up views of the Fisher Towers and Onion Creek area, with views of the Colorado River, Castle Valley, Fisher Mesa, and the Book Cliffs. From the parking lot, the trail goes down a short set of steps and then runs to the left, out onto a small slickrock-covered ridge. Follow the ridge away from the main cliffs until just after it narrows and then goes left down into the ravine through a small cut on the left side of the ridge. From the bottom of the ravine the trail heads steeply up and then begins to wind directly beneath the Fisher Towers. After swinging around the largest tower, The Titan, the trail ascends and ends on a ridge with a panoramic view. This trail has a western exposure and can be exceptionally hot on summer afternoons. Mountain bikes are not allowed on this trail.
