Kodachrome Basin State Park is a vividly colored geological area made up of numerous spectacular sand pipes, or petrified geysers

Area: 3,120 acres
Elevation: 5,794 feet.
Fees: Day-use fee is $5.00.
Hours: Open all year
Visitor Center: Yes
Facilities: Overnight camping facilities, drinking water, modern restrooms, showers, and a sewage disposal station. An area with picnic tables, fire pit, barbecue grills, and electricity is great for group outings. A concessionaire provides horse rentals and camping supplies. There is a resident ranger, hiking trails, mountain biking, and horseback riding.
Directions:

Nine miles south of State Route 12 near Cannonville, over paved roads; twenty-five miles southeast of Bryce Canyon on Utah 12.
