Little Cottonwood Canyon, opening along the Wasatch Front in the Salt Lake Valley, has the steepest walls of the local canyons with the most heavily glaciated topography, the highest trailhead, and the highest peaks in this part of the range. The upper canyon provides a cool haven in the hot summer months and has wide meadows for easy hiking through fields of wildflowers with a variety of wildlife. |
