From hiking and backpacking, to mountain biking and white water rafting. There are 4x4 and ATV trails, auto tours, and plenty of sightseeing.
There are several locations in the Moab area that provide public showers, for a fee:

- Edge of the Desert (1251 South Millcreek Drive)—$3.00.

- The local climate is dry with low humidity. Average humidity levels range around 15 to 20 percent.
- It is hot and dry in the summer and cool and dry in the winter. One effect of the dryness is a range of daytime high and overnight low temperatures that drop quickly at night, even in the warmest months.
- Summer thunderstorms also drop the temperature. A 20 to 30 degree drop in a few minutes is not unusual during a thunderstorm.
- In the spring and fall, the days are quite pleasant, but the nights can be cold. Be prepared for snowfall as well.
