Westwater Ruin is a cliff dwelling that was occupied about 1150 A.D. to 1275 A.D. It is just one of many ruins hidden among the cliffs in Westwater Canyon.

There are no established campground in Westwater Canyon.
Hiking
There are no established hiking trails in Westwater Canyon, although sections of the El Canon Hiking Trail near the Nations of the Four Corners Cultural Center extend into the upper reaches of the Canyon.
