Westwater Ruin is a cliff dwelling that was occupied about 1150 A.D. to 1275 A.D. It is just one of many ruins hidden among the cliffs in Westwater Canyon.

Directions: Follow US Hwy 191 south of Blanding for a mile and then turn right on County Road 232 and continue 2 miles to the ruins overlook.

There are no established hiking trails in Westwater Canyon, although sections of the El Canon Hiking Trail near the Nations of the Four Corners Cultural Center extend into the upper reaches of the Canyon.
