2004 Canyon Country Tour

Destinations we visited on our 17 day tour of some of America's "Crown Jewels" and not so well known locations, accompanied by our friends from the Czech Republic on their first visit to the United States. 2004 Canyon Country Tour.

My paternal grandparents emigrated to the United State from Bohemia in the early years of the 20th Century. In the early years of the 2st Century I was contacted via e-mail by a previously unknown cousin still living in my ancestors' home town of Choetbore, in the Czech Republic. Over several years of correspondence my cousin and his wife were able to fly to the United States and spend a couple of weeks with us, touring the wonders of the west. It was a pretty intense couple of weeks. We wanted to show them as much of our great landscapes as we could fit in, and they were up for the challenge. Details of each days adventures can be found in the Personal Notes for each of the locations listed below (along with our notes from our other visits to these locations). We put this page together mainly for the enjoyment of the four of us, but you're more than welcome to share our journey vicariously.
