This page contains some basic information on blisters caused by hiking.

Caution: Medical and other health related information found on this page is intended as basic information and should be viewed as a starting point for further investigation by the visitor. Please do further research and speak to a licensed physician prior to using any of this medical advice.

To prevent blisters, the most common hiking ailment, wear comfortable shoes or boots that suit your needs and the terrain. Likewise, wear quality outdoor socks to cushion and protect your feet. Also, condition your feet before long hikes by taking walks or shorter hikes to get your feet used to the constraints of your boots.
