The Red-winged Blackbird (Agelaius phoeniceus) is thought to be one of the most numerous land birds in North America. It is known for aggressively defending its territory from intruders. It can generally
be spotted in marshy areas and along meadows. They are
not as common as the solid black blackbird, the Starling,
and the Grackle.
