 Red-winged Blackbird
Redwing Blackbird.

The Red-winged Blackbird (Agelaius phoeniceus) is thought to be one of the most numerous land birds in North America. It is known for aggressively defending its territory from intruders. It can generally be spotted in marshy areas and along meadows. They are not as common as the solid black blackbird, the Starling, and the Grackle.

 Notes

We have seen a lot of these in the Sandhills region of Nebraska and along the marshy roadside ditches in Nevada, especially near Fallon.
