Canyon Country Animals
Birds: Osprey
The Osprey (Pandion haliaetus), although kindred to other diurnal birds of prey, is so distinctive that it is sometimes place in its own family. Its large size and uniquely curved claws allow the Osprey to carry a large fish a considerable distance to feed its young in the nest.
