Canyon Country Animals
Birds: Gulls
There are many gulls that show up all over the west, but especially in the salty waters of The Great Salt Lake and Mono Lake, as well as along the coast. In some areas they have become pests, but are still an interesting bird.

Notes
- The main photo on this page was taken at Mono Lake in eastern California. The black objects in the water around the gull are brine flies. There appear to be some on the bird itself.
- We have seen gulls in Utah, especially around the Great Salt Lake, in Nevada around Walker Lake and Lake Tahoe, in California around Mono Lake, and at various places in Oregon and Washington.
